Dr. Shuka Moshiri’s philosophy is simple: life is better when you smile. In her own words… “The transformation I see in my patients when they complete treatment, both on a psychological and physical level, brings me pure joy and satisfaction. It is a privilege to be an instrument in this journey with someone.”
After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, she went on to pursue her doctorate degree at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. While in dental school, she won the American Association of Oral Biologists Award for her work in cleft palate research. She also received the Humana Foundation Scholarship, which is awarded to a student who exemplifies excellence in leadership.
She was heavily involved in community service and traveled with University of Louisville’s International Service Learning Program to the Philippines, providing free dental treatment for children without access to care.
After dental school, she completed an advanced year of training in the General Practice Residency program at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She practiced general dentistry for one year before continuing her education at Saint Louis University, where she earned her certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry degree. Her thesis, pertaining to clear aligner treatment, was published in the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics.
As the most recent member of the Moshiri clan to join the practice, she’s proud to continue the family legacy of orthodontic excellence.
Dr. Shuka is currently an active member of:
– The American Association of Orthodontists
– The American Dental Association
– The American Board of Orthodontics
