Align Technology, the brilliant minds behind Invisalign clear aligners, have named Moshiri Orthodontics’ own Dr. Maz Moshiri as an Invisalign Master Faculty member.
He’s now the only Invisalign Master Faculty in the state of Missouri—and one of only seven in the entire U.S.
What is Invisalign?
The Invisalign system is an alternative to traditional braces for improving the teeth and jaw. A skilled orthodontist can use Invisalign clear aligners in conjunction with advanced tools and techniques to give you a brighter smile and a better bite.
Invisalign treatment is a less noticeable method for dental adjustments than braces and requires less maintenance and office visits. Plus, because you can remove clear aligners to eat and floss, you don’t have to put up with as many dietary restrictions and dental care is a breeze.
You may have heard of Invisalign’s mail-order aligners. While those can indeed straighten your teeth, they may worsen your bite in the process. Clear aligners aren’t a fix-all by themselves. To reap the full benefits, it takes a trained orthodontist who knows how to use them for a comprehensive treatment of the whole jaw.
How does the Invisalign Master Faculty program work?
Invisalign Master Faculty is a title awarded by Align Technology, the company behind Invisalign, to orthodontists who excel in the use of clear aligners. No orthodontists can apply for the program—Align Technology selects Master Faculty members based on:
• Their experience in the field of Invisalign
• Their publications on the topic
• Their lectures and teaching experience
• Their contributions to the clear aligner industry
These factors are combined into a “Net Promoter Score,” which Align technology uses to gauge the expertise of orthodontists around the world.
Not only did Dr. Maz Moshiri have a high enough Net Promoter Score in 2018 to qualify, he had the highest average score. Needless to say, that earned him a place of honor in the program.
